ABOUT ME
I'm an artist primarily dedicated to making work in whatever medium I encounter or find necessary to express my ideas;
I began drawing on the walls from the age of 2 and somewhere between then and my twenties stopped being told off for it and started being paid for it. (There are still relics of those early mural exploits in public spaces around London, including the West Corridor at Alexandra Palace.)
Painting, exhibiting and selling my work over the years, I started experimenting with digital 3D Animation tools, which led me to study for my MA in Animation Direction at the National Film & Television School. Since then, my practice has extended into making animations, using both traditional and digital techniques; Usually combining the elements of both. Above all I have been I find it amazing to cross-pollinate disciplines and traditions.
I also teach as a visiting lecturer in all fields of creative arts and media production, including 3D animation and games design.
I recently returned to traditional painting, and have been taking commissions for portraits, including horses (commissioned by people, not their equids) at the wonderful Lee Valley Riding Centre on the marshes near my home in Hackney, East London.
