My process... A new upload to my site...

Just uploaded another little gif demonstrating how a piece of work develops during the process of taking a really quick scribble in a sketchbook to a painting.

I work quickly in my sketchbooks to try to capture character and movement - or both; not to mention shape and form.

When i review all my sketches, i mark the interesting ones - ie the ones which seem already to have life in them - and scan them.

I then work with them a bit in Adobe Ps to build them into paintings as i would in paint on a canvas.

This is primarily a pre-vis method, and a tool to help me work out the composition of the image for whatever shape and size canvas i might use, in preparation for then moving on into working with paint on canvas.
